Kiln-formed Glass

Rose Hamilton

Rose has been a resident of Poatina since 2001.  She has always had a love for Arts and Crafts and over the past 18 years has been a member of the Basket Makers of Tasmania.  You’ll see her large willow sculptures when you come to Poatina.

After taking a kiln-formed glass class while studying Contemporary Art at UTAS, and the kiln-formed elective at FATA in 2019 Rose was inspired to take up a studio space at the Poatina Arts Centre focusing on kiln-formed glass. This has led to teaching kiln-formed glass at Capstone College.

Rose loves to encourage others to have a go.
