Eco Dyeing
Anita Dougall loves to explore creativity in the everyday, as well as artforms that connect her to her relationship with God, place and people, especially creation.
She loves to create using many different mediums, eco printing and dyeing being one of her favourites. Her artwork explores themes of regeneration after scarring or destruction, involving landscape, and this year she was a finalist in the Bay of Fires Art Prize.
Eco Dyeing - am
Eco-dyeing with paper provides a unique experience - connecting to a place, its plants and its history, using what is in the landscape to make and create. Unwrapping a piece of eco-dyed cloth or paper is like unwrapping a present, you never quite know what you're going to get! It's a journey of discovery and allowing the journey to speak to you as much as what the results will be.
There is a meditative element to the wandering in creation and collecting materials, as well as the wrapping and unwrapping in this process.
Join Anita on a journey of possibility in learning and discovering more about where you are grounded, from a totally different perspective.
