Poatina Village
Come and spend the week in the unique and picturesque setting of the Poatina village community in Tasmania’s heartland. Nestled on the edge of the majestic World Heritage listed Great Western Tiers, Poatina aspires to be a community of hope, bringing life through a vibrant culture and inspiring practical spirituality.
Poatina village is home to Poatina Arts - an Artist Colony and Arts Collective with facilities that include the Poatina Glass Studio and The Poatina Tree Art Gallery. Other features include the Tiers Tea Lounge, Poatina Golf Course, General Store, Gift Shop and Op Shop.
Getting Here
By air (fast and affordable) to Launceston Airport - a 40min drive away. We offer free airport pickups and drop-offs. Include your flight details on the registration form or email them later.
By boat (if bringing a vehicle) on the Spirit of Tasmania - Geelong to Devonport - and a 1.5hr drive.
By car within Tassie, you'll find us here (this is the Community Hall, where you'll come to check in). Remember to drop breadcrumbs so you can find your way home again (though you may not want to leave...).
Accommodation
This year the Poatina Chalet and some other accommodation is expected to be unavailable due to a transition currently underway in Poatina.
Some paid accommodation is available in Poatina, and billets are being generously offered by some members of the community.
Alternative accommodation can be booked in Cressy, Longford and Launceston (own transport will be required, as there is no public transport).
