Poatina Village

While we invite you again to participate wherever you are this year, we'll still be here in the unique and picturesque setting of the Poatina village community in Tasmania’s heartland. Nestled on the edge of the majestic World Heritage listed Great Western Tiers, Poatina aspires to be a community of hope, bringing life through a vibrant culture and inspiring practical spirituality.

Poatina village is home to Poatina Arts, a vibrant Artist Colony and Arts Collective with facilities that include the Alethea Mountain Retreat Arts Centre, Poatina Glass Studio and The Poatina Tree Art Gallery. Other features include the Poatina Golf Course, Poatina Chalet, General Store, Gift Shop, Tiers Tea Lounge and Op Shop.

During FATA22online we'll make sure to share some of the local beauty with you during our sessions, so you can smell the Tasmanian wonder and hear the wide open sky.

Getting Here

(in 2023...)

By air (fast and affordable) to Launceston Airport - a 40min drive away. We offer free airport pickups and drop-offs. Include your flight details on the registration form or email them later.

By boat (if bringing a vehicle) on the Spirit of Tasmania - Melbourne to Devonport - and a 1.5hr drive.

For this year (cos things are still a little unique) put on your Tigger onesie, bake some GF DF brownies, check you've got some light on your face and click that Zoom link!

Once we're able to have a Hybrid event

(hopefully you can come to FATA23 in person, or else online...!), residential registration will include budget shared accommodation in the Poatina Chalet hostel.

Motel rooms with private ensuite and self contained Mountain Cottages are available for an additional upgrade fee, either to share with a partner or friend, or to enjoy solo.

We're looking forward to seeing you in person when things settle a bit, but for FATA22 find some fruity soaps, put some drops of vanilla essence on the toilet paper and treat yourself to some extra hospitality!
