Narda Campbell is a fibre artist who plays with colour and form using fabric, thread and dye. Her designs are inspired by her reading, painting & other interests. Narda's faith touches how she teaches - we have a creative God who has created us, so we are creative in different ways. She believes that there is no such thing as a non-creative person - just one who hasn't found their medium. Teaching gives Narda great joy, and she loves seeing people who thought they couldn't create, jumping into the world of designing & making. You can see more of her work at

Hand Embroidery for Embellishing & Creating

In this fun embroidery class, we will be diving straight into the world of thread and colour as you learn an ancient skill that you can use to update something old or create something new.

Learn how to express yourself using needles and thread. This elective is a hands-on experience, and your teacher Narda will be there to help and answer any questions you might have.

We'll begin the class with some basic colour theory and explore the different types of stitches. During the course, you will learn the basic stitches you need to use in various ways, e.g. Sashiko, Boro, painting with thread, and many more!

You will go home with your hand-stitched piece plus skills to embellish your clothes, homewares, and more. Humans have used this ancient art form for millennia - and now you can use it too.

Additional Fee: $40

Max & min numbers apply, make sure you indicate a second choice of afternoon elective when registering in case your first choice is unavailable.
