Lachlan Scallion has been practicing photography as his primary art form since the age of 16. He runs his photography business, Really Good Wedding Photography, from the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. His energy for image-making is matched by his eagerness to share and encourage others in their creative pursuits.

Lachlan believes that creative expression can change lives and always prioritises play and experimentation over perfection.

Fundamental to his practice he believes that we are all vessels of creativity and that as we engage with our creativity, we engage with God.

The art of observation

In this photography elective, we're going to learn how to see with new eyes. By slowing down and observing, we're aiming to refine and challenge the way in which we see the world around us.

Less technical photography jargon (although I'm more than happy to answer specific problems one might be facing) and more using your device to capture the beauty in your everyday, so charge your camera or phone and make sure it’s got plenty of storage space.

A contemplative approach to photography where we seek out what is seeking us.

By the end of this course, you should walk away with a deeper appreciation of the beauty of your every day - and some rad photos to share with the world.

Max & min numbers apply, make sure you indicate a second choice of afternoon elective when registering in case your first choice is unavailable.
